EVERYTHING IS AS DESCRIBED WITH THIS GRINDER. ITS SHARP, IT GRINDS GREAT, EASY TO HANDLE AND THE REMOVABLE SCREEN IS GREAT. HERE'S THE BUT, AFTER A FEW DAYS OF USING IT. IT STARTED TO MAKE AN AWFUL SCREECHING SOUND ABOUT 25% OF THE TIME I USE IT. I DID TRY TO CLEAN TO SEE IF IT WOULD HELP. IT DID NOT.

Thanks for your honest feedback on the Kannastor 4-Piece Jar Body Grinder! We of course still want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so we figured we could offer some tips that help eliminate the screeching sound you describe. As you probably expect, the sound is coming from the metal-on-metal contact and is usually the result of kief that has formed between the two plates you twist together as you grind. If you can find the spot, try using a paper clip to lightly scrape off any spots that don't belong. Be careful not to use too much pressure, or you might scratch the metal itself. If light pressure with a paper clip doesn't work, you can try removing the kief and other sticky spots with a q-tip/cotton swab dipped in isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Just be sure to let the area dry before adding any materials to your grinder again because accidentally smoking alcohol can be extremely dangerous! Lastly, some veteran smokers even suggest using a very small amount of coconut oil to eliminate the screeching sounds after removing excess kief between the grinder plates. Olive oil or any other food-safe oil works here, but coconut oil is highly recommended because it won't taste awful or be dangerous if you accidentally get any oil on the grinder teeth and/or your herbs.
